Taken By Trees is the solo project of Victoria Bergsman. She pro­vided guest vocals for the famous(ly annoy­ing) sin­gle ‘Young Folks’ by Peter, Bjorn & John. (Actually, the only thing I liked about that song was her voice.)

Since February she’s signed to Secretly Canadian. Her next album ‘Other Worlds’ will be released in October. The first song is the first sin­gle from it, the sec­ond is from her last LP.

Bergsman’s music dreams about happy hid­den tribes in a magic jun­gle. The lyrics have no con­nec­tion to the facts of life, rather they paint an imag­i­nary world with broad strokes. Her songs act as a nat­ural tran­quil­izer when you just don’t need another cathar­sis in your life.
